Joseph Patrick Roop, Founder and President of Belmont Capital Advisors

Joseph Patrick Roop attended Nicholas County High School in Summersville while growing up in West Virginia. After graduating from high school, he studied finance at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Joseph Patrick Roop also interned for 3 years with the Huntington-area offices of Merrill Lynch.

Joe Pat Roop earned his bachelor of science in 1996 and began his career in financial advisement as a registered representative with Prudential Financial in Charlotte, North Carolina. He parted ways with Prudential 2 years later as a sales manager.

Over the next decade, JoePat Roop served as a financial advisor with the Massachusetts Mutual Life Financial Group, Legg Mason, Banc of America Investment Services, and Wells Fargo Advisors. He has been the president of Belmont Capital Advisors since founding this Belmont, North Carolina-based firm in 2009. Belmont Capital Advisors provides a diverse range of financial services that range from retirement planning to tax strategy.
